Before you go in

Four days ago you drove into Hollowreach to film a documentary. Four days. You don't remember the third one. Assign your strengths.

How to play

Goal. Survive four days in the Hollowreach forest. Find the road, uncover the truth, or something worse.

Move. Use the N/S/E/W buttons or arrow keys to walk. Each step costs Stamina and advances time.

Dice. Skill checks roll 1d20 + ability modifier against a difficulty (DC). Nat 20 is a critical success. Nat 1 is a fumble — something will go wrong.

Stats. HP is your body. Sanity is what the forest can take. Stamina is how far you can walk. Hunger rises; at full, it bites into HP. Battery powers your camera — filming anomalies preserves them as tapes you can review at camp.

Camp. Rest in shelters to restore Stamina, recover a little HP and Sanity. Costs food and water. Advances the clock.

Tapes. Find them in the woods. Some you recorded. Some you didn't.

The entity. You can't fight it. You can only avoid it. Nerve checks in the dark.

Save auto-persists. Close the tab and come back — you'll be where you left off.
