Apple-Cinnamon Steel-Cut Oats

Chewy steel-cut oats simmered with diced apple, cinnamon and a swirl of almond butter.

Ingredients

  • 80 g (½ cup) steel-cut oats
  • 1 small apple (160 g), diced
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 20 g walnut halves
  • 1 tbsp (16 g) almond butter

Method

  1. Bring 500 ml water to a boil. Add oats and cinnamon.
  2. Lower to a simmer; cook 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Stir in diced apple and walnuts in the last 5 minutes.
  4. Top each bowl with a swirl of almond butter.
