Vegetarian Three-Bean Chili

All the beany comfort with no meat — black, kidney, pinto in a smoky tomato base.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (320 g) black beans
  • 1 can (320 g) kidney beans
  • 1 can (320 g) pinto beans
  • 600 g tomato sauce
  • 150 g corn
  • 200 g red pepper, diced
  • 200 g onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 g salt
  • cilantro

Method

  1. Sauté onion, pepper, garlic in olive oil 6 min.
  2. Add chili powder, cumin, paprika; toast briefly.
  3. Add tomato sauce, beans, corn and 200 ml water. Simmer 18 min.
  4. Stir in cilantro at the end.
